Bought the car earlier this year to use as a daily family wagon. Third subie for me so far.

Done some basic maintenance such as rear bearings and normal oil changes so far.

Got tired of the car sounding like a vacuum cleaner so I started searching for exhaust options, saw a post by Robsyuk and decided to go the same route as they were relatively cheap and an oem part.
Got this set and it was advertised as being taken off a 2012 brg legacy.

Supprised that these are basically a straight pipe "muffler" with just a big can around the centerpipe mainly for looks. It doesn't have any packing in the can or holes in the passthru pipe

Some light polishing and cleaning in the next few days and hopefully will be able to fit them in a few weeks.

Will post a sound check when i get them fitted

Also found an upper tray insert for the armrest and waiting on a vdc off cable to arrive in anticipation for some winter donut action :D

Quick install of the VDC disabling cable. Was plug and play and appears to work. It connects between the steering angle sensor and the TC button. Short press turns off the normal TC and long press cuts the signal from the steering angle sensor momentarily, turning off all assists until the car is restarted. I suppose good for some short fun in the snow, wouldn't use it for prolonged periods due to the way these cars control the cvt and so on. This does keep the brake lights working and allows you to shift out of park opposed to just pulling the fuse.

And the goal of this cable is to allow what kind of hooniganeries, exactly?
No hoonigaries , all for perfectly legal fun in closed areas ;) Just allows the rear to kick out like it's supposed to in a subie

So that button does disable the feature that keep the engine/gearbox tame when you have lots of steering angle ?

I have that button doing this since I have my car, I didn't had to add or replace a cable. how is yours better than the factory one in my car ?

I'm not sure how yours does that. Mine from factory just turns off the traction control allowing wheelspin in a straight line. No different effect with a long press like the wrx has where it turns off traction and the stability control, this achieves that same functionality although deactivates eyesight and abs as a side-effect. Mine from factory did not allow the rear end to slip out or let the car slide around, it would immediately start to correct by cutting power and/or activating the brakes to try and keep the car straight i.e. no fun in the snow doing donuts and such.

Genomes have been fitted. I will get you guys a sound clip in the next few days, slightly lower tone compared to stock, with some louder notes in the high rev range. Next will be to remove the mid muffler and/or resonator for more rumble. Looks better than stock but suprisingly quiet still.

About the installation:
1. Flanges have to be rotated and pipe cut and welded, approx 8-10cm extra added.
2. The hangers closer to the tips can be heated and bent upwards to fit correctly, cutting and welding is easier though.
3. Rear hanger needs to be cut and welded.
4. Generic 2" gasket was used, levorg has the wierd ring gasket that will not fit the legacy flanges

Only needs about 20cm extra 2" pipe to have it fitted, all else can be used off the mufflers.
Will probably redo the fitment at some point and remove the restrictor flange inside the muffler.
