Thought it was about time i did a thread on my ‘sensible’ daily. Had a bugeye wagon with a jdm ej207 then when that fell apart i went to a forester xt that ate its engine a week after i bought it so sadly ended up in a diesel vw caddy for a few years. Saved up and got myself a jdm levorg gt-s that i am loving. Only thing i miss is the ej noise but still beats feeling like im driving a tractor! Anyway, onto the pics and build progress…

When i got it, it was basically stock, had sti wheels fitted in japan and a few fancy bits from the factory, including the sti strut tower braces. It does have the side and rear aero splash set and had all the bulbs swapped for led so very bright inside. Also came with the front drls and option grill. Factory window visors too which i was very happy about as my bugeye ones cost way too much!

Wasnt a fan of the stock exhaust so treated her to a pair of genome backboxes off a legacy. I had this on my bugeye and loved the sound and hoped it would be similar. Turns out, not a lot changed but do like how it looks! Also swapped the bumper reflectors for black led versions to go with a future upgrade.
Next up was the autofold mirrors and rear hatch lights along with a set of silicone mats for the pockets and cubby holes. Black silicone with white trim that glows in the dark, can just about see them in this photo

Next parcel to arrive had a set of s207 rear vents. Really like how these look but dont think they make a huge difference aerodynamically! Sadly didnt fit the levorgs bumper perfectly but bit of cutting later and on they went. Still got to cut some honeycomb mesh to match the front grill but havent gotten around to it yet.
Next on the list, RA-R mirrors, always liked these and picked up a pair for not a lot at all. Swapped out the indicators for black ones whilst i was in there. The guy i got them from also put me on to someone else with a few fancy bits i might like, this made my wallet cry and had a long wait for a huge box to arrive!

So eventually a large box arrived from the other side of the world! Luckily it got through customs without issue or extra fees! Inside was a set of DAMD front wings, Varis Spoiler, optional extra mid level wing and a chargespeed rear diffuser. Got the diffuser painted satin black to match the bumper and on it went!
The rest of the parts, still waiting on paint but our temps have dropped to single figures and painting outside is not going great! Here they are in gelcoat though… also picked up a set of chargespeed rear spats but sadly they dont fit with my rear aerosplash bits
Having only ever driven manuals, i wasnt a fan of the oddly shaped factory auto knob. Found a company that make an adapter kit to convert it to a manual style lift ring and round knob. I will swap it for a delrin rally style knob in the future but waiting on some spare material to come up at work to make one
Made a friend in Japan who was kind enough to find me a set of prova yellow mirrors. Much better in my opinion, hugely reduced glare and blinding lights from cars behind or low sun! Really intrigued as to what non-functional mirrors would be though…
Now im waiting on a few more parcels from japan. One has a syms auto si drive kit so it will automatically swap to S mode at over 30% throttle and stay in S mode when restarting the car. Also got a Shining Speed symmetrical tail kit so i will have 2 reverse lights and comes with the loom extensions to get the rear bumper reflectors wired up as fog lights
The other parcel from Japan will have a chargespeed extra scoop for the air intake, black a pillar trims from a wrx sti and a blue start switch. Also the subaru and awd badges in black to pair with the black levorg badge as i seem to be going for the white and black look. Also picked up a pair of carbon style badge rings as wasnt a fan of the chrome

Now all thats left on the list is getting the radio swapped out for an android headunit but struggling to find a wiring adapter that matches my loom, if anyone has a link to what they used it would be hugely appreciated! Also saving for a set of carbon front lips in the style of the factory optional extras

I've only driven mine as fare as the MOT station so far, so not sure how or what I want to change so far.

So this week the first parcel from japan arrived so now have my fog delete tail light and si drive kit! Oh and randomly a free gift of a subaru branded hand towel!
Today i had a spare half hour so swapped the factory spoiler for the varis one id painted up, looks better but did expect it to be bigger!

At whatever throttle amount you set it, it swaps to s mode for a set period of time then goes back to i drive for mpg. Also retains whatever mode its in when you switch it off as sadly the first thing i do is put it in s when i start up! Can also add a throttle controller to change the throttle map more
Few more small mods this week. Got a set of va sti black a pillar trims sent over along with a crosstrek blue start button and a frameless rear view mirror that they hopefully still do a yellow glass for. If anyone knows how the start buttons come apart and how to swap the led, let me know. I did my bugeye switches pink to match the sti badges and would like to do the same to all these, just blue.

Hi mate, do you have a template for cutting the vents? I have them one at home but I don't have a template
I did have but not sure if i kept it, will have a look over the weekend and let you know. I did end up modifying it to get them to line up better with the body line on the bumper but can only go so high before hidden bolts and the top lip of the bumper get in the way.
