Ahh it looks like the same model!!!...you must have the map SD card :) it's not this slot, you will probably see another one on the right if you slide the plastic cover left slightly to remove it?

Surprisingly nothing much available online.....there is an ad on FB selling them for 149USD each from Kenya, thanks but no thanks!! I have contacted some Japanese parts websites for advice. But as many have suggested before, easier to just replace the unit...but that in itself doesn't seem too...

mine is a 2019 "F" variant, it is probably the lastest VMG sub model - it does come with android auto and carplay IF I can get through the first error screen :D

Thanks mate, what model headunit or which retailer did you go with? My original headunit likes like Ross', slightly different to your photos ...never expected this SD card issue! Thought I would just be able to use carplay or android auto ...:(

hello!! I think I have got the same/similar model as yours....but I get stuck at "insert your map SD card", can't even go pass this screen. did you have the same issue? or you actually have the original japanese map sd card.... Thank you:D why the heck they removed that sd card before selling...
