Weeping CVT

2021 Levorg
Hello all,

I'm after a bit of advice. I've had my levorg for a week, it's 2021 with 16,000 miles.

I had a look underneath and it appears that the CVT is weeping oil from somewhere. It's not wet to the touch but oily and grimey.

Any idea where its coming from?

I'm thinking about cleaning it up and monitoring it to try and identify where it's coming from.

Cheers

Hey and welcome, that looks very old, and possible from when it's had the fluid changed and some has leaked out when full.
Also, looking at the bolts, some look new, my sump bolts were coming loose and leaking fluid, which stopped when I tightened them up.

It won't hurt to clean it all up and monitor it. Have you spoke to the garage you bought it from?

Thanks for the reply.

I went under and checked the bolts, around half I managed to tighten a little more.
I've cleaned the area up and will monitor it for further leaks.

I haven't contacted the garage yet as I've got a year's warranty. I'll give it a bit more time to pinpoint where about its coming from.

Do not let the garage know you've tightened any bolts. They could use this to void your warrenty.
