I'd imagine any subaru Stereo is plug and play across models

Try unlocking the car with the key, lock with fob and see if pulling on the handle opens and sets the alarm off

Mine turned out to be the cvt sump bolts were loose! Tightened, cleaned up and will book in with subaru to replace the fluid.

Try replacing the cvt fluid and see if it resolves it.
