Hello,

I have a 2015 Levorg GT

As the title suggests got an issue with the Filler Cap not releasing.. let me give you small rundown..

Pull the latch in the driver side floor - does not release. Doesn't seem to have any resistance to it but not sure if that is normal

With a 2nd person, I done the latch and they slid a card near the latch - it opened.

When open we can see that the little plastic catch is moving back and forth but its not releasing the cap

Im thinking that this could be the actual spring or mechanism in the filler cap to pop it open rather than the cable

Any ideas on fixes?

Thanks

Update:

I took the trim off inside the boot.

Dont think its the latch or cable, it looks like the filler door itself. It doesn't seem to be aligned properly, it sits a bit more to the rear than to the front, so it could be the assembly of the door or the spring.. Still unsure on the fix though

Hello mate,

I found your post as I had a similar issue with the fuel filler door not opening.

I fixed it by lubricating the hinge and latch with GT85. The door is spring loaded and mine had got dry so was not moving properly when the plunger was released from the catch.

Hope this helps

This could be a big help...

I ordered a new fuel pocket with the door, wasnt too expensive. Wish I had a photo handy to show what I mean with the door not sitting proud. Will give a go at spraying with some of that stuff and see if it does the trick

Thank you!
