It went from an idea to wowzsers!
I wanted a louder exhaust on my car, and although nothing on the shelf had the sound I wanted, I always knew it was a gamble having a custom exhaust made.
I liked the sound of the Genome Sti exhaust on my Impreza, so I ordered some Legacy Genome backboxes, and after a discussion with Nigel Green from The Tig
I opted for a stainless catback system, removing the centre box and modifying the Genome backboxes to fit.
I Left the car with him and waited. Once built, he jumped in and started the car while I nervously looked on. Was it going to be too loud, too quiet, or just a horrible tone?
After the dragon fired up in a ploom of smoke, it was like music to my ears.
On tick over, it's a fraction over stock. you can hear the burble from the flat four more, yet it sounds stock.
Under load it's not tinny, or droning like the Blitz Nur Spec, and on full chat, it's a completely different animal. The twinscroll comes alive and roars like a jet engine.
