Hello everyone,

I have a 2015 1.6 DIT Levorg (w/o eyesight) and because of the poor fuel quality in Turkey (around 90-94 octane :()

I want to add ethanol (around %4-5 per 50 liter) to the fuel tank.

Is this ok with the engine or the whole fuel system?

Anyone, and ideas?;)

What we have in Belgium is SP95-E10, that is 95 octane (I guess) with up to 10% Ethanol in there.
Mine has been running fine for 2.5 years already. I add some injector cleaner at every maintenance (in a SP98 tank) and mash on the gas pedal as I enter the highway (to hopefully get whatever crap may be in the engine/injector out of there).

HTH.

Aussie Premium has no ethanol, we have Standard 91, Premium 95 and 98, and a separate E10 pump. My Subaru dealer warned against adding any ethanol to our Subies. That is, of course, unless you have a flex fuel kit fitted, which would be pointless in a Levorg and definitely not endorsed by the dealers lol

Whats a flex fuel kit
In Australia we have E85 at the pump at selected gas stations. It's an ethanol blend containing upto 85% ethanol. A flex fuel kit allows you to run the car on petrol, or E85 or a blend in between. It senses the mix and adjusts injectors etc to suit the fuel.
