Never faced this, after key fob battery change. I'd try to disconnect 12V battery for a moment abd then try again.

About starting with key fob you should put it a little bit below start button (approx. 3-4cm)

thanks for your reply. have also disconnected 12v battery for ten minutes and still nothing thanks. Might have to call a lock smith i think. I also only have one key which makes it hard.

Try this

Reactivate the fob: If you accidentally put your key fob into power-saving/sleep mode (by holding the Lock button and double-clicking the Unlock button), press any button on the fob to turn it back on. [1, 2]

Start with the emergency method: Hold the key fob right up against the push-button start switch with the buttons facing the button, depress the brake, and press the start button. [1, 2]

Replace the battery: Change the internal battery in your key fob, which uses a standard CR2032 coin cell. [1, 2, 3]

Try a spare fob: Use a secondary key fob to determine if the issue is isolated to a single transmitter or a broader vehicle issue. [1, 2]

Deeper Troubleshooting

Check vehicle battery: A weak main car battery or loose terminal connections can cause immobilizer glitches and communication failure.
