Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a 2016 Subaru Levorg that was imported from Japan, and I’m really excited to have finally joined the Levorg club! I’m aware there may be a few differences compared with European models.
Unfortunately, it came with 3 out of the 4 speakers blown — all except the driver-side speaker.
I love my music, so I started looking into replacement speakers. I wanted something as close to plug-and-play as possible and, after doing some research, found several recommendations for the Focal IC Toy 165 for the rear and Focal IS Toy 165 for the front.
They arrived today and, although the mounting screw holes line up, the speakers themselves are too large to fit through the factory speaker openings. The Focal compatibility information suggested they should fit, so I’m now a bit confused about what my best option is.
My budget is around €350 for the complete speaker setup. I’ve also included some photos of the original factory speakers and mounting holes in case they help identify what size speakers or adapters I need.
If anyone has replaced the speakers in a Japanese-import 2016 Levorg, or can recommend a compatible setup, I’d really appreciate any advice.
I’m based in Ireland, so ideally I’m looking for speakers or adapters that can be sourced within Ireland, the UK, or Europe, as ordering from the US would likely result in high shipping and import charges.
